Chesapeake Urology Associates Earns National Ranking as Quality Employer

Owings Mills, MD--Modern Healthcare magazine has named Chesapeake Urology Associates, a medical group based in Owings Mills with locations throughout greater Baltimore, to the annual Best Places to Work in Healthcare list.

One of the largest urology groups in the country, the practice ranked 85th on the nationwide list for healthcare companies, and 48th for medium-sized companies. It is the only company in Maryland to be included in the Modern Healthcare rankings.

Modern Healthcare's Best Places to Work in Healthcare program collects information from both the employer and employees and is open to all companies (providers, suppliers, payers) with at least 25 employees. Employers complete a survey detailing company policies and practices, benefits and demographics. Employees are asked an in-depth set of questions that result in an analysis in eight core areas: leadership and planning, culture and communications, role satisfaction, working environment, relationship with supervisor, training and development, pay and benefits, and overall satisfaction.

Participating companies receive an "Employer Benchmark Summary," and have access to a full "Employee Feedback Report" that provides valuable data including a spreadsheet summarizing employee feedback, written employee comments, and healthcare benchmark information.

"We are honored to be recognized by such a prestigious organization as Modern Healthcare," said Sanford J. Siegel, M.D., president and chief executive officer, Chesapeake Urology Associates. "Such accolades only reinforce our standing in the industry as a leading healthcare organization and a place where healthcare professionals want to be every day to provide the best care possible for patients and make an impact on their health."

With more than 45 physicians, Chesapeake Urology Associates serves patients at 16 urology centers and 14 surgical centers throughout greater Baltimore, managing all types of urological problems for adults and children including prostate cancer, enlarged prostate, kidney stones, urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, urinary tract infections, hematuria, male fertility and sexual health, vasectomy and vasectomy reversal, pelvic pain and clinical trials for urologic conditions.
